Simla’s Story Healing from Autoimmune: Series Starting Week of 12/21/2009
November 24, 2009 by Simla
[UPDATE: I changed my start date to the week of 12/21/2009. With how busy this month has been for me, I haven't found the head space or quiet, contemplative time to do this type of writing. I will also be clarifying what I mean by "healing" at that time, as this question was raised by a couple of readers recently. Until then, have a wonderful holiday season! Be well ~ Simla ]
Ok. I figured if I don’t commit directly to you – my blog readers – on doing this, I’ll never get around to it. So many people have asked me to share my story. I’m always too “busy” but that’s no excuse. I want to prioritize this. It’s part of why I do what I do, and how I got here in the first place.
Soooo… starting the week of 11/30/2009 I will begin a series of 14 or so entries to chronicle my journey through the maze of healing from autoimmune. [FYI: I'm doing fantastically well now, in case you were wondering!]
If you stumble across this blog, please share this information with people you love who may be living with an autoimmune condition or chronic fatigue syndrome, or any of the other conditions I’ll be writing about within the context of my own story:
fibromyalgia
chronic fatigue syndrome
multiple chemical sensitivity
undifferentiated connective tissue disorder
immunotoxicity
… and related complications:
IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)
medication induced hepatitis and pancreatitis
food allergies & intolerances
adrenal fatigue
thyroid issues
brain fog
PTSD
… and many more tangents, twists, turns, trials and tribulations.
I’ll be sharing my story in in stages, along with what I learned and how I took the steps towards healing myself and taking back control of my health.
I welcome questions anytime. Plus, your questions will help me jog my memory and get more into the nitty gritty that you may need to know. So don’t be shy – write to me!!!
Hope to see you there!
=) Simla
